Trattoria l’Alba

Trattoria l’Alba is the genuine taste of Italy, the true cuisine of the land

In the crowded landscape of Italian concepts that are found in Copenhagen, there are not many opportunities left to stand out from the crowd.

Regardless of this, that’s is what we attempt here in Holbergsgade no. 17 (right by Nyhavns bridge).

It all starts in the kitchen, of course with an Italian chef. Our chef and partner, Leonardo Battain, has previously managed the kitchens in restaurants such as Era Ora and L’Altro.

His dream has now come true, with the opening of Trattoria l’Alba, and he is humbly waiting for your verdict.

Leonardo is from Florence and is passionate about the honest Italian food, and here at l’Alba he adds that little extra ”something”.

Our approach is a very simple menu, which changes weekly according to seasonal Italian ingredients.

After consultation with our suppliers, a new fish dish is created daily.

Our large wine list, with over 200 Italian wines is curated by our restaurant chef Davide Pecoraio in collaboration with our sister wine bar, Nebbiolo in St. Strandstræde.

Here our theory, is to soures and import wines oursleves from a host of small producers, therefore offering our guests amazing wins at great prices.

We like to talk wine with our guests, without any kind of “wine snobbery” and we never just leave our guests with the wine list in there hands.

Italian wines are a big part of our DNA.

Davide is also the guarantor of wonderful service and a cosy dinning experience.

Special autumn holiday menu:
3 dishes, freshly baked bread + a glass of wine = 350 dkr.

Monday Concept

On Monday we serve a lovely “menu fisso” which in Italian means “fixed menu”.

This is a 3-course menu with a glass of wine, water and our homemade bread.

Price 350 DKK per person.

We bake all our own bread, cakes and grissini
